La compétition s'est terminée par un magnifique concert ce mardi 21 avril 2015. Les 10 pièces des finalistes de ce concours international ont été interprétées avec succès par deux excellents chanteurs (Monika Cerovcec et Kreshimir Strazanac) et par le Festival Ensemblen dirigé par Sasha Britvic dans la salle de concert de l'Institut Croate de Musique.
Malheureusement, Tentation n'a pas suffisamment séduit les membres du jury qui ont décerné leurs prix à l'issue du concert. C'est toujours une petite déception d'arriver en finale et de ne pas être primé mais il y a tout de même une belle satisfaction : il s'agissait de mon premier opéra, et il est arrivé en finale d'un concours international ; et puis il est vrai que les prix décernés lors de concours de composition obéissent souvent à des considérations plutôt subjectives.
Je profite de court article pour féliciter les compositeurs primés dont le travail a pu être récompensé. Tous les opéras joués étaient intéressants et chacun offrait un univers musical et dramatique différent.
J'espère que la chance sera avec moi la prochaine fois !
The competition ended with a wonderful concert on this 21st April 2015. The 10 finalist pieces of this international contest were performed successfully by 2 formidable singers (Monika Cerovcec and Kreshimir Strazanac) and by the Festival Ensemble, conducted by Sasha Britvic.
Unfortunately, Tentation wasn't seductive enough for the jury members who gave their prizes at the end of the concert. It is, of course, always a little disappointment at being at a final and not having a prize, but there's however a great satisfaction : that was my first opera, and with it, I reached the final round of an international competition ; furthermore, I must add that it is true that the prizes at a such contest are always given in a subjective way.
I would like also congratulate the winning composer in this article. All the performed operas were very interesting and each of them led the audience to a different dramatic and musical universe.
I hope to be more lucky next time !
